IN DEEP DOWN LE ABILITÀ DIPENDERANNO DALL'ARMATURA
A seconda delle componenti sarà possibile sfruttare differenti capacità

"....DSOGaming:*Can you share some info as to what advantages do next-gen systems provide? Will the PS4/Xbox One versions be able to rival the PC version (running on a high-end PC)?

Jean-Normand Bucci:*The new consoles are very strong, very powerful.* They allow for much more than what a console gamer is used to.* The gap between PC and next gen has massively reduced for sure. The new consoles and high-end PC offer better frame rate, higher resolution, and many new features along with DX11 support.

DSOGaming:*Thank you very much for the interview, any last words you want to share with our fans?

Jean-Normand Bucci:*Thief is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 28th in Europe and other PAL territories. Keep an eye out for more news over the next few months and we hope you’re excited to play the game.".......

Harrison: Xbox One's launch games have only scratched the surface
"For every feature you've seen in the launch titles, there are five features in the queue."

Posted on Thursday 5th Dec 2013 at 11:44 AM UTC * By Edwin Evans-Thirlwell, Deputy Editor for OXM

Microsoft on why Xbox One's chat functionality differs from the Xbox 360, and how it'll improve over time
    >
The most promising Xbox One games of 2014

Microsoft promises to "expand encryption" across products and services to protect from "government snooping"

The Xbox One apps and entertainment features we're still waiting for
    Latest news
Having fun hacking people's arms off in Ryse, or getting stamped on by Aoife's (she claims) unstoppable Drivatar in Forza Motorsport 5? The best is yet to come, you may be unsurprised to hear. Speaking to OXM as part of a lengthy piece on the future of Xbox One you'll read in our latest issue, Microsoft Studios exec Phil Harrison has promised that future Xbox One games will make use of the platform's various capabilities in far more interesting ways.

"When you've been around for a long time, you know what platforms are like," he began. "The games you celebrate and are proud of in the first year, when you look back at them from the perspective of ten years from now; you'd be amazed at the difference. It's a combination of the tools getting better, developers beginning to understand the unique architecture to work with."

The claim that developers are able to do more with hardware they're used to is hardly electrifying, of course. It's already been suggested by CD Projekt's lead engine programmer Balázs Török that Microsoft will unlock "hidden" performance boosts for the Xbox One - a prediction he bases on Microsoft's sharing of new techniques for development on Xbox 360 across 2007 and 2008.

This probably won't amount to anything as dramatic as the discovery of another gigabyte of RAM, but Harrison insists that there's less of a "glass ceiling" for eking more juice out of the Xbox One, thanks to the much-touted and still largely ethereal benefits of the Xbox Live cloud.

"Crucially this time around, there's the power of the cloud and what that means for game design. That can grow and scale indefinitely - of course there is a practical limit but in effect you're uncapped. And I think, from a player's perspective, that's the most exciting part; that it's not just about the chips in the box under the television or wherever you position your console of choice, it's about what the platform will provide you with over time. We've not had that in a console generation before."

This growing process ostensibly applies to both performance and features. There are, Harrison told us, plenty of ideas Microsoft has yet to fully implement - whether couched as part of a game, or in the form of an app, or in some other form entirely. "There are more ideas and vision for what games can be than available time to build them into the launch games.

"So for every feature you've seen in the launch titles - SmartGlass, GameDVR, use of voice with Kinect - there are five features in the queue waiting to come out, either in an update or a sequel or in a future version of a game. The kind of creative and technical innovation that we're seeing in the industry - it's a really good time."

All Xbox One developers have free access to dedicated servers and a chunk of server processing power, to blow on whatever they see fit. Among those who've attempted to extol the practical benefits are Turn 10's Dan Greenawalt and Respawn's Jon Shiring, one of the minds behind the Microsoft exclusive Titanfall.

Fancy a copy of issue 106? You can order the new issue online here, or download a digital copy (which doesn't include the free FIFA code) from iTunes, Zinio and Google Play. If you subscribe on iTunes you get two issues free, though you'll miss out on the free gifts you'll receive when you subscribe in print.

[UPDATE] Destiny Beta Code Giveaway #2
    giveaway
by Matt Miller on December 06, 2013 at 12:10 PM 9,972 Views

Update:*Thanks for commenting! The winners for these Destiny Beta codes have been chosen and will be sent their codes through messaging shortly. If you were unable to win, there will be another chance. Leave a comment in a new giveaway on Tuesday and you might win one of 25 additional codes.

Earlier this week, we announced our new cover story*on Bungie’s sprawling action/shooter, Destiny. Tell us in the comments below what class/race combo you’re most excited about trying out, and we’ll pick 25 random respondents to receive a free beta code for Bungie’s upcoming test. Codes will be sent out on Friday, December 6th.

During our visit to Bungie, we had the chance to try out each of the three different classes – the sharpshooting Hunter, armored Titan, and mystical Warlock. Each of the three classes offers a different familiar archetype to explore.*

We also discussed Destiny’s three playable races. Each offers a cosmetically distinct choice that won’t affect gameplay. The Humans are survivors of a terrible collapse of the solar system’s civilization. The Awoken are fellow survivors, but they’ve been dramatically altered, making them aloof and vaguely otherworldly. Finally, the Exo race are self-aware machines from humanity’s golden age, reawoken without any memory of their original purpose. Which one appeals to you?

If you receive a code, you’ll need to head to Bungie’s redemption page. And if you don’t already have one, you’ll need to sign up for a Bungie account. Then just input your code to lock your slot in the beta. NOTE: Your code is not platform specific. Testers will be able to choose which platform to play on as we get closer to beta launch.

Didn’t receive a code? We’ll have a third chance to win access to the beta on Tuesday, December 10th.*

For all our Destiny-related coverage throughout this month, check out and then bookmark our game hub by clicking on the banner below.*

Microsoft signs up Sony’s Gracenote for Xbox Music

    Hey, we’re all friends here
    By Dave Neal
    Fri Dec 06 2013, 12:22

JAPANESE ENTERTAINMENT FIRM Sony has revealed that rival console maker Microsoft is using its Gracenote gear to improve the performance of its music services, including Xbox Music.
Gracenote, a wholly owned independent subsidiary of Sony, will open a world of music recommendations and listening to users of a range of Microsoft hardware including PCs, tablets, smartphones and the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
"A big frustration for music fans is having to completely rebuild their collections when switching between streaming or download services," said Gracenote president Stephen White.
"Gracenote music recognition and data will make it easy for Xbox Music users to migrate their collections to the cloud without searching, repurchasing or even uploading."
Gracenote scans a user's machine for music, collates it and opens it in the cloud. Sony claims that any music found and owned by the user will be there, and that it can be streamed on iOS and Android, and now also on Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows phones and the Xbox games consoles.
Sony says that Gracenote looks for "audio fingerprints" in music and compares them to its database. Scanning a music collection pulls music together and bundles it with things like cover art. Other Gracenote features recommend new artists and users can carry out standard music player functions like creating playlists.
There are two versions of the Music app for Microsoft machines. One is free and lets users stream. The other is a paid service with more features and no advertising.
