    Xbox One Patch update

    Yesterday, Patch 2 was released for both PC and PS4. We are targeting to have this patch available to Xbox One players by Monday.

    Patch 2 for Xbox One will include all of the fixes from the PS4 version of the patch as well as a fix for a specific Xbox One issue. These improvements will reduce the occurrences of the following bugs:

    Arno falling through the ground.
    Game crashing when joining a co-op session.
    Arno getting caught inside of hay carts.
    Occasional long delay seen reaching the main menu screen at game start. (Xbox One Only)
    The development team is doing everything possible to release this update ASAP, and we’re already well into work on Patch 3. Over the next few days we’ll be telling you more about what the team has planned for Patch 3 and beyond.

    " Overall, it's very difficult to avoid the sense that Assassin's Creed Unity was released in an unfinished state. On PC in particular, it really feels like beta code - feature-complete, but lacking in optimisation, with bugs manifesting regularly. On console, the game is more stable, but clearly performance is unacceptable - the frequent dips to 25fps on Xbox One are jarring enough, but it remains truly remarkable that the PS4 game should drop just as often to 20fps."

    secondo amd mantle non verrà supportato dalle console perchè le api lavorano già a basso livello. credo sia impossibile vedere un incremento del genere.

    Infatti a metà Ottobre 2013 AMD disse....

    “What Mantle creates for the PC is a development environment that’s *similar* to the consoles, which already offer low-level APIs, close-to-metal programming, easier development and more (vs. the complicated PC environment). By creating a more console-like developer environment, Mantle: improves time to market; reduces development costs; and allows for considerably more efficient rendering, improving performance for gamers. The console connection is made because next-gen uses Radeon, so much of the programming they’re doing for the consoles are already well-suited to a modern Radeon architecture on the desktop; that continuum is what allows Mantle to exist.”

    ...è che per la One nello specifico...

    “The Xbox One graphics API is “Direct3D 11.x” and the Xbox One hardware provides a superset of Direct3D 11.2 functionality. Other graphics APIs such as OpenGL and AMD’s Mantle are not available on Xbox One.”

    Che riceverà l'aggiornamento a Windows10 e DX12 il prossimo anno.
