[MOD] VSHEX DLX2 Alpha 8 Mod For DevHook v0.46

L'instancabile Wedge rilascia un ulteriore aggiornamento della sua mod del file Vshex.prx. In questa nuova release l'obiettivo principale dell'autore è stato quello di incrementare la velocità di lettura dei database .ini. Per gli altri cambiamenti, vi invito a leggere il changelog seguente.

Ini file reading speed was greatly improved. Reading dlx.ini and db.ini can be over 50% faster depending on the size of the file. If you have a big dlx.ini file you’ll notice greatly improved boot times, if you have an optimized dlx.ini, the change won’t be so dramatic but still noticeable. The same for big db.ini files. To avoid compatibility issues, there’s a new entry in dlx.ini, FastINI that you can set to 0 if you notice any ini reading problem; reading will then revert to the old, fully compatible, method.

There were also great speed increases in the alpha blit routines including the font engine, although the general screen updating is not yet as desired.

Other changes include the moving of all navigational controls to the digital and analog pads. Up/Down directions will browse one file at a time (like the XMB) while Left/Right directions will fast browse. If you prefer the old method (Left/Right to browse) you can change the option BrowseVertical to 0 in dlx.ini. Help on/off was moved to the L/R triggers.

There is also a new screenshotDLX.prx which will save to MS or USB depending on the last file mounted location. By default it will save to USB. This is not a definitive solution, in the future there will be real communication between the two modules and better configuration options. This is just better than before... Save locations will be /PSP/PHOTO/Capture in MS and resource folder/Capture in USB. Make sure you install the new module as well as the changed firmware txt files.
