Predefinito Custom Firmware DevHook v2.71 XMB AutoBoot Mod For PSP 1.5 Firmware

Citazione:
Custom Firmware DevHook v2.71 XMB AutoBoot Mod For PSP 1.5 Firmware

This is for beginners, or those who don't have the time to search for all these utilities and want the v2.71 XMB menu to load without pressing any buttons during boot-up.

v2.71 FLASH IS NOT INCLUDED. Hint: Google Just overwrite.

DARK_ALEX'S CUSTOM FIRMWARE PROOF OF CONCEPT WITH:
- Slasher's Custom Firmware Unflasher
- HKS' Autostart Devhook with No Menu
- Booster's DevHook v0.44.0100 with ibawanzingee's NoAutoRun Mod and Chossy Add-ons (MENU)
- wedge's YAXBI (Yet Another XMB Boot ISO) (No Sound)

This all-in-one method will automatically load Devhook v0.44.0100's emulated v2.71 XMB menu during start up without requiring any buttons to be pressed. Pressing the TRIANGLE button during start up will prevent DevHook from loading and boot to the v1.50 firmware.

It's best to start off with a blank memory stick, but back-up your existing data. You first need to have the 2.71 flash files in the right place (ms0:/dh/271) then extract everything in the rar to ms0:/. If those flash files aren't there devhook won't load. If it asks to overwrite click yes.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
------------------

INITIAL SETUP:

1. Before you begin make sure your PSP is version 1.50 with no Custom Firmware installed. If yours has Custom Firmware, read below for removal instructions.

2. In the PSP XMB menu go to Game -> Memory Stick -> "Custom Firmware - The Proof of Concept" and run the utility. Press X to install the custom flash.

3. After it flashes and reboots the PSP, go to Settings -> USB Connection in the menu and connect the USB cable to the PSP and the computer.

4. Use the computer to go to /PSP/GAME on the memory stick and delete the "__SCE__customproof" and "%__SCE__customproof" folders. This will remove the "Custom Firmware - The Proof of Concept" utility, which isn't needed anymore.

5. In the XMB menu go to Game -> Memory Stick -> "Flash the recovery.elf" and run the utility. This will add the option to remove the custom firmware in the recovery console.

6. Use the computer to go to /PSP/GAME on the memory stick and delete the "__SCE__FlashRecovery" and "%__SCE__FlashRecovery" folders. This will remove the "Flash the recovery.elf" utility, which isn't needed anymore.

7. Do a hard reboot by holding the power switch to the off position until the screen shuts off.

8. Now every time the PSP is turned on, DevHook v0.44.0100 (no menu) with v2.71 emulated Firmware will automatically load. To load the v1.50 Firmware and disable DevHook from running at start up hold the TRIANGLE button while the PSP boots.

NOTES:

- The image that is initially loaded during the emulated v2.71 firmware is just a dummy and cannot be played. Hold HOME and press L or R to switch to the other images in ms0:/ISO.

- Since 333MHz mode with WiFi currently isn't supported, use 222MHz mode when using WiFi. To change the speed, press HOME + SELECT in the v2.71 XMB menu.

- To create screenshot in BMP format, which will be stored in ms0:/PSP/PHOTO/capture, press the music note button.

- Do not delete "fake.iso" in the ISO folder, "recovery.elf" in root, or anything in ms0:/PSP/MAINTENANCE.

MISCELLANOUS INSTRUCTIONS
-------------------------

REMOVING THE "CUSTOM FIRMWARE - PROOF OF CONCEPT" FROM FLASH:

1. Do a hard reboot by holding the power switch to the off position until the screen shuts off.
2. While holding the R button turn on the PSP to go to the recovery console.
3. Press the SQUARE button to remove the custom firmware.

NOTES:

- The "Flash the recovery.elf" utility must be installed for the "remove the custom firmware" option to appear in the recovery console. Copy "__SCE__FlashRecovery" and "%__SCE__FlashRecovery" located in ms0:/PSP/MAINTENANCE to ms0:/PSP/GAME and run the utility. Remove these folders in ms0:/PSP/GAME after the utility is executed.

- If you want to reinstall the custom flash, copy the "config.txt" file in ms0:/PSP/MAINTENANCE to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM. Then copy the "__SCE__customproof" and "%__SCE__customproof" folders in ms0:/PSP/MAINTENANCE to ms0:/PSP/GAME and run the utility, explained in the initial setup instructions. Remove these folders in ms0:/PSP/GAME after the custom flash is installed.

MODIFYING THE DEVHOOK SETTINGS:

1. Go to Settings -> USB Connection in the menu and connect the USB cable to the PSP and the computer.

2. Use the computer to go to /PSP/GAME on the memory stick and delete the "__SCE__DEVHOOK" and "%__SCE__DEVHOOK" folders.

3. Navigate to ms0:/PSP/MAINTENANCE and copy "__SCE__DEVHOOK_menu" and "%__SCE__DEVHOOK_menu" to ms0:/PSP/GAME and rename them to "__SCE__DEVHOOK" and "%__SCE__DEVHOOK" respectively.

4. In the PSP XMB menu go to Game -> Memory Stick -> DEVHOOK and run the utility. The menu will now appear and the settings that you change will automatically be saved.

5. To remove the DevHook menu and automatically load the v2.71 XMB menu during start up like before, go to Settings -> USB Connection in the menu and connect the USB cable to the PSP and the computer. Then use the computer to go to /PSP/GAME on the memory stick and delete the "__SCE__DEVHOOK_menu" and "%__SCE__DEVHOOK_menu" folders.

6. Navigate to ms0:/PSP/MAINTENANCE and copy "__SCE__DEVHOOK_nomenu" and "%__SCE__DEVHOOK_nomenu" to ms0:/PSP/GAME and rename them to "__SCE__DEVHOOK" and "%__SCE__DEVHOOK" respectively.

7. Now the no-menu version of Devhook is installed.
