harleyg has updated his Custom Firmware Patch to v0.2 today. Version 0.2 of this great Custom Firmware adds many more features as follows:
Configuration and recovery mode:
- New style and menu/sub menus
- Clockspeed configuration
- USB mode
- Update vshmain.prx and recovery.elf
- Remove patch
- Launch update EBOOT
- Replace index.dat
Other:
- No KXploit (Can run 1.0 formatted eboots)
- No annoying corrupt icons
- No intro
Controls (while booting):
- WLAN switch down: Loads DevHook
- WLAN switch up: Loads XMB
- HOLD on: Loads configuration and recovery mode
- X: Launches autoboot EBOOT
As you can see, the feature list is amazing. You have the best of every firmware: you can pretty much 'dual boot' into 2.7 by loading up DevHook with the WLAN switch, hide 1.5 corrupt icons, and load 1.0 EBOOTs! It's as if firmwares 2.71, 1.5 and 1.0 have all been put in a melting pot to make a magical Firmware!
How to:
>>For new users
Copy the customfirmware and customfirmware% to PSP/GAME and the SYSTEM directory to PSP.
Launch the "Harleygs custom firmware patch 0.2" eboot and press X when prompted.
Reboot.
>>For current users
Copy the vshmain.prx and recovery.elf to the root of the memorystick, then boot the PSP in configuration and recovery mode.
Go to the recovery/backup menu and flash the new recovery.elf and vshmain.prx.
Reboot.
Whats new:
>> Booting with "HOLD" on goes into configuration and recovery mode.
>> Booting with wlan switch down goes into devhook.
>> Booting with wlan switch up goes into XMB.
>> Booting while holding X will launch the autoboot eboot set in config.txt.
>> Boot manager inside the configuration and recovery mode can return to XMB and devhook.
>> A few more bug fixes.
Todo:
>> Add all configuration inside the configuration and recovery mode .(nokxploit/nocorrupt/nointro on/off)
>> Extend the boot manager to launch 2.00+ UMD's.
>> Add key combo's inside config.txt.
>> Add more autoboot key combos and selections.
